Xenophobic violence is taking its toll on one of Africa’s most developed country, South Africa. Anti-immigrant hostility in Durban and Johannesburg has left scores dead and businesses looted for several weeks now. South Africans are blaming foreigners for their miseries. They believe immigrants are competing for their job opportunities. The Xenophobic attacks are said to have broke out after a traditional King asked foreign nationals to pack and leave even though the King claims he was simply misquoted. Several countries, including Kenya, Malawi, Zimbabwe and Burundi are already making arrangements to evacuate their citizens.
