Facebook ‘Skips’ Kenya and Opens First Africa Office in Johannesburg

FaceBook has opened its first office in Africa in Johannesburg.

The new office will focus on sales and improving Facebook’s ability to attract local businesses to advertise on the social network.

Facebook has about 120 million active users in Africa. It will be headed Nunu Ntshingila.

More than 80% of the Africa’s 120 million users access Facebook from their mobile phones.

The company plans to hire 25 employees in its new office.
