EXECUTED ON AIR: Two journalists shot dead by former Colleague

They died live on air and breathed their last in line of duty, passionately doing what they loved doing…telling stories… Journalists around the world are mourning two of their colleagues, who were shot dead by a gunman in Virginia, during a live TV report.

WDBJ7 TV reporter Alison Parker, 24, and cameraman Adam Ward, 27, were killed by a gunman known professionally as Bryce Williams and a former colleague at WDBJ7.

Ms Parker was starting a breakfast TV interview about tourism at the shopping centre when suddenly eight shots rang out, the camera spun and dropped to the ground, and her screams could be heard.

The disgruntled gunman subsequently shot himself and later died in hospital
