Barely days after URP and TNA launched a series of ICC prayer rallies for Deputy President William Ruto and Joshua arap Sang, in Kuresoi, a section of leaders from South Rift have rubbished the crusades, describing it a waste of time.
The leaders have instead advised the Jubilee government to use legal channels instead of politicing the country along ethnic lines in the name of prayers.
According to Cherangany MP Wesley Korir, Ruto prayers are null and avoid, and cannot change the state of the Bensouda case.
The leaders, among them Mr Kipkorir Menjo, ODM’s North Rift point man, opine that The Hague based court dropped cases facing President Kenyatta and former Industrialization Minister Henry Kosgey after a legal battle and not prayers.
The Jubilee government is facing one of the hardest moments, which could determine the survival of the political marriage, anchored on ICC cases.
