Francis opened his 6-day trip to the U.S. on Tuesday with an arrival ceremony at Andrews Air Force Base.

After he stepped off his plane at Andrews Air Force Base in neighboring Maryland, Francis was driven into town in the back of a tiny, charcoal gray Fiat 500L.
The pontiff ditched the fancy wheels in favor of a much more modest ride: a Fiat.
